I want to do something about women from Afghanistan or Pakistan and their human rights violations. I am interested in how the rights of women in Afghanistan or Pakistan are violated (and how they are against the universal declaration of human rights). I am interested in this topic because of the recent news events about the woman from Pakistan. Also when I was downtown I saw a women from the Middle East who had been abused (I think she was burned), so ever since then I have been interested in human rights.

I don't really know where I want to take this topic, but I know I want to do something about their limited rights being violated. I may want to focus on one right in particular that is violated very often, or something like that. I also am interested in what the rest of the world is doing to help or prevent the human rights violations.
I like this idea, and there's certainly a lot of information to work with. You could focus on some of the penalties for certain crimes and whether those violate human rights, or whether simply being charged with a crime for something is a violation of human rights. You could compare their rights to men's rights, too.
ReplyDeleteI also really like the idea. I think you can go a lot of different ways with it and I like that you have been inspired by something. I would say keep researching on your topic so you can really narrow it down more. I think you should do both "know I want to do something about their limited rights being violated" and also at the end for more of a conclusion and ending thought talk about " in what the rest of the world is doing to help or prevent the human rights violations".
ReplyDeleteThis will be a topic with a lot of information so you will probably need to narrow it done in some form or fashion like a specific incident or area of taliban law that effects women. Or you could go in the direction of exploring the history of Afghanistan and the Taliban and how this has come to be and come to be accepted in Afghanistan.
